Christmas 2008
Christmas 2008
John built this cooking center for Emily and Garrett's playhouse out of
salvaged materials from cabinets removed from Nancy's craft room (when new
cabinets were installed).
John built this doll clothes closet for Natalie's American Girls doll
dresses. It is made from two 6"x6"x36" "sticks" of mahogany that John got
from Don Johnson (Church of the Good Shepherd). The wood was originally ballast
on a ship returning from the far east. John milled the wood to size, and
crafted this doll closet. It measures 36" tall, and 12 1/2" deep.
There are two 2" drawers, and one 3" drawer inside. The sides and top
doors are frame and panel, with 1/4" mahogany panels. There's a
closet rod across the width of the upper section to hold doll clothes.
